The Unify WL4 is a rugged Wi-Fi handset built for staff who move around a site all day rather than sitting at a desk – think ward rounds in a hospital, shop floors, warehouses or hotel back-of-house teams. Rather than DECT, it connects over standard 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi, so it rides on the same wireless network as everything else on site. A 2.0″ colour touchscreen keeps calls and menus easy to read, Bluetooth 5.0 opens up wireless headset options, and an IP44 rating means it can handle the odd splash or a wipe-down with disinfectant. With messaging and personal alarm features available as licensed add-ons, it also suits environments where lone-worker safety matters.
